Caelan Doris Makes Ireland Squad While McCarthy Left Out
Newly reappointed manager Andy Farrell has included captain Doris in his Irish squad for the autumn matches, however lock McCarthy has been excluded.
The captain, who has not played since undergoing shoulder surgery in the start of May, recently returned to Leinster training, with doubts lingering if he will be ready to face the All Blacks in Chicago on November 1.
Lock Joe McCarthy, however, did not make the cut after failing to recover from the foot issue he sustained during the opening Lions match against the Wallabies in July.
Ulster player Cormac Izuchukwu and Munster wing Calvin Nash are not included due to fitness concerns, and number 15 Keenan was previously excluded after having hip surgery following the Lions tour.
Dublin province prop McCarthy - the brother of Joe - is the sole new member in the 34-man squad, but the Irish Rugby Football Union states uncapped Munster pair Edogbo and Brian Gleeson and previously capped Connacht wing Bolton will travel to Chicago as "reserves".
Following playing the New Zealand at Soldier Field in a rematch of their previous meeting, Ireland will play the Brave Blossoms, Australia and world title holders the Springboks in the Irish capital.
"There's an exciting look to the squad and there's an opportunity for the more experienced players and for those who made their debuts on the recent tour to the Lelos and the Lobos," commented the coach, who returns to national team duties after a break to coach the British and Irish Lions to the southern hemisphere.

Frawley is the third number 10 chosen with the coach deciding not to calling up the province's Byrne.
At scrum-half, Farrell has picked Lions tourist Jamison Gibson-Park and Casey, who captained Ireland to the summer international victories over Georgia and the Lobos. Additionally, there is a recall for the western province's Caolin Blade, who is preferred to teammate Ben Murphy.
Henshaw, Aki, Ringrose and McCloskey form an experienced cohort of midfield options. Osborne is another option in the centres, though the 23-year-old is additionally a frontrunner to deputise for the full-back at full-back.
Outside backs Lowe, Hansen, O'Brien and Jacob Stockdale are named. O'Brien impressed on his national team debut during the summer with a brace each in the wins over Georgia and Portugal.
