A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
